Welcome to the Fairfax School District Migrant Education Program!
The Fairfax School District is dedicated to supporting the academic success and personal growth of our migrant students and their families. Our Migrant Education Program offers essential services, resources, and learning opportunities customized to meet the unique needs of students whose families move due to agricultural or seasonal work.
We believe every child deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of background or circumstances. Through family engagement, expanded learning programs, and strong partnerships within the community, we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

I'm a dedicated educator with six years of experience teaching intervention math at Fairfax Jr. High. In this role, I supported students in building strong foundations and confidence in their learning. Before entering education, I spent 11 years with the Kern County Probation Department, where I guided and mentored at-risk youth. As the son of former migrant workers and someone who once lived in the same community I now serve, I have a deep, personal understanding of the needs and strengths of our families. My work is driven by a passion to connect, uplift, and empower students inside and outside the classroom.
Our Community Resource Center is where migrant families can access additional services beyond the Migrant Program. Whether you need help with health care, food, housing, legal assistance, job support, or school-related needs, we’re here to connect you with trusted resources in our community. We believe in supporting the whole family so that every student can succeed.
Join us each month for CAFECITO Time, a series of bilingual workshops for parents and families. Topics include school success, college preparation, health and wellness, community resources, and more.
